Some features of the banknote’s surface are in raised print which is perceptible by touch, specially the “Banco de México” text, the bust-head figure, the denomination number, the mark for blind and visually impaired people, and the denomination in letters.
In the 20- and 50- peso banknotes, intaglio can also be perceived in the numeral and diagonal lines over the clear window and in the commemorative 100-peso banknote, on the corncob grains over the clear window, too. In the 100-, 200-, 500-, and 1000-peso banknotes, it can be felt on the color-shifting element and on the left-hand text indicating the denomination. In the commemorative 100- and 200- peso banknotes on the commemorative text, and on the number "2010".
When the banknote is new or has been hardly used, the intaglio and embossing is felt more easily.
